How Young Drivers React to High Car Insurance Rates?
Posted by admin in Auto Insurance, Car Insurance on July 25, 2011
First of all, most young drivers think it’s not fair to label all of them the same as inexperienced and reckless drivers. If you are under 25, no matter how well your driving is and how responsible you are, your car insurance is expensive. The reasons behind it are the statistics. Statistics show drivers who’re under 25 years of age in the United States of America tend to get into car accidents or crashes more often than drivers from other age ranges. Since, young drivers still need to get around town, some of them have no choice but to pay more for car insurance and hope to get past 25, so they can lower the rates. Until then, their reaction would be finding ways to pay as little as they can.
Here are some of their actions toward saving money on high car insurance rates.
Move closer: Moving requires a lot of work, but sometimes that is what they have to do to lower car insurance premiums. It makes sense to move close to school or work if they will stay there for a while. Shorter driving often results in lower rates.
Stop driving: They simply stop driving and use public transportation instead. Some even bike to school and work. Stopping driving is probably the best way to save money because they don’t have to pay for car insurance at all.
Car pool: This is a good way to lower the insurance cost. Since they go to school or work regularly, they can car pool with their friends or co-workers. They then can share the cost of gas and even insurance cost.
Add to family policy: This is definitely another method to save money for young drivers by having them added to parents’ policy. However, being full-time drivers, coverage will cost more than for part-time drivers.
Drive more safely: When they realize the cost of insurance can be affected by reckless driving, they tend to be more careful and follow the rules better. Otherwise, their higher premiums will go even higher and it’s possible that they cannot afford to drive anymore due to expensive insurance.
Pay more attention to grades: In the case where they don’t have many choices at least, they can try to be better in school by starting improving their grades. They realize they need to help themselves otherwise they won’t be able to afford to drive. Good grades often mean lower insurance. Read the rest of this entry »
Save on Gas, Save on Petrol and Reduce Emissions
Posted by admin in Hybrid Energy Efficient on May 25, 2011
Yes you’ve probably heard it all before, save on gas, save on petrol, reduce emissions, but how do you do that, when fuel prices keep going up. You need to concentrate on more fuel economy.
It’s hard when you have to use your vehicle every day, for travelling to and from work, or using it FOR work as a business owner, representative, taxi driver or truck or van driver. Maybe you drive a truck with a diesel engine (cummins, gardiner, rolls-royce, detroit or cat, etc), which uses even more fuel.
You fill up and drive on. “Where can I save? How DO I reduce emissions? How can I get fuel economy?” you ask.
Well, there is a way. Two, in fact.
One way is to drive more carefully. Keep your foot from the floor, keeping your engine on the lowest revs you can, drive as if you had a glass of water on your bonnet or hood. Your tyres should be kept at the optimum pressures. Brake lightly. To do this, you need to “read the road”, study the road ahead. You should be looking about 100 yards or 100 metres ahead, so you can see any situations before they become problems.
The Second way is to make a small investment in an innovative automotive products range, that is taking the world by storm. This product range is not liquid engineering, it is more than liquid engineering. It will save on gas, save on petrol, reduce emissions, give you greater fuel economy, better performance and your engine will last longer. Read the rest of this entry »
